Help Us Identify Empty or Derelict Properties
Members of the public can help Diaspora Community Housing (DCH) identify homes and residential properties that appear to be empty, vacant, abandoned or derelict and may potentially be brought back into use for housing.
What Can You Report?
You can tell us about a house, flat, maisonette, bungalow or other residential property that appears to have been empty for a significant period, is in poor condition, or appears abandoned or derelict.
You Do Not Need to Own the Property
You do not need to be the property owner to make a report. You may report a property you have observed in your neighbourhood or community. Please provide only information that you reasonably believe to be accurate.
What Information Is Helpful?
If known, information such as the property address or location, postcode, property type, approximate length of time it appears to have been empty and its apparent condition can help DCH assess the report.
What Happens After a Report?
DCH may review publicly available information and, where appropriate, make further enquiries about the property. A report does not mean that DCH will acquire, lease or take any other action concerning the property.
Privacy & Safety
Please do not enter the property, trespass, approach occupants or put yourself at risk in order to obtain information. Do not submit unnecessary personal information about property owners, occupants or neighbours.
